It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas because the official weather forecast is in and it’s looking promising. Brisbanites can expect a quintessentially clear and hot day Aussie Christmas this year according to several reliable sources including the Bureau of Meteorology and AccuWeather. December predictions are based on many factors, including the active El Niño and positive Indian Ocean Dipole events, according to the Bureau of Meteorology. Here’s what to expect from the weather forecast in Brisbane and other major Australian cities on Christmas.

Brisbane

Brisbane is set to get a clear, hot day with 29-degree temps on Christmas day with no chance of rain or thunderstorms.
A sunny Boxing Day is also predicted at 27 degrees.

Sydney

Sydneysiders will be treated to a warm, sunny day with Accuweather predicting 24 degrees on Christmas Day, December 25 with some clouds.

However, an afternoon shower is possible with a 20 percent chance of rain. Boxing Day is also expected to be sunny with a mild 24 degrees. Sydney weather is known to have a mind of its own so make sure you keep an eye on the Accuweather website for updates.

Melbourne

Melburnians will get a break from their soggy summer so far with a warm and pleasant Christmas. Temperatures are expected to sit at around 22 degrees with only a 25 percent chance of rain. Boxing Day is predicted to be cloudy with 23-degree temperatures.

Adelaide

Adelaide will be blessed with a warm and sunny Christmas as well with temps of 23 degrees with some clouds.

Perth

Perth will enjoy a scorcher of a day on Christmas and Boxing Day with temperatures of 30 degrees.
