Brisbane’s Christmas Day Weather Forecast Is Here

You can start planning your Christmas Day 2025 ahead of time because the weather forecast is here and it looks like a rainy day for Brisbane.

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas because the official weather forecast is in and it’s looking promising. After a few weeks of storms, the weather has started clearing up, and it looks like we’ll get a quintessentially warm Aussie Christmas with some showers this year according to several reliable sources’ long-range forecast, including the Bureau of Meteorology and AccuWeather.

December predictions are based on many factors, including the storms that have swept through Queensland recently. Here’s what to expect from the weather forecast in Brisbane and other major Australian cities on Christmas.

Brisbane

Brisbane is set to get a somewhat cloudy day with sweltering 35-degree temps on Christmas Day but, unfortunately, it will continue to be as humid as it has been in recent weeks, and there’s a high possibility of a thunderstorm in the evening. The temperatures are expected to drop to 22 degrees at night though so, all in all, having an indoor Christmas is probably not the worst idea. Boxing Day is predicted to have similar weather, although it will only get up to 27º and with a lower chance of rain.

Sydney

Sydneysiders will be looking at a rainy December, but hopefully it’ll clear up by Christmas Day, which is shaping up to be a cloudy day with about a 27 degree high, and lows of 19. There’s also a chance of thunderstorms and showers throughout the day.
Boxing Day is expected to be cooler, with more light showers. Sydney weather is known to have a mind of its own so make sure you keep an eye on the forecast for updates.

Melbourne

Melbourne will get a mild and cloudy Christmas, with temperatures expected to sit at around 24 degrees, and with a 25 percent chance of rain. Things will heat up a bit by Boxing Day with a 26-degree high and a cloudless sky.

Adelaide

Adelaide have to make do with a cloudy and rainy Christmas, but at least it’ll be warm, with highs of 27 degrees, and the skies will clear up on Boxing Day, with a sunny day of 29º.

Perth

Perth will have a somewhat cloudy Christmas with some thunderstorms and highs of 29º, with an even stormier Boxing Day.
