1. Arcadia, Northern Rivers

2. Down at the Dale, Sunshine Coast

3. Bespoke Geo-Dome Tree House, Gold Coast Hinterland
Hidden in the Gold Coast hinterland, this handcrafted timber dome is nestled between two giant fig trees and offers spectacular views.
The dome is decked out with a king bed and kitchen, making for a unique stay. You can also soak in the outdoor bath, which is just outside the front door.
4. Unyoked Dante, Scenic Rim
Staying in an Unyoked tiny cabin provides the ultimate off-grid getaway. Dante is located at Maroon in the Scenic Rim, around an hour and a half from Brisbane, with breathtaking mountain views from your bed.
Light a fire at golden hour after a day on the trails, read a book in the wilderness, and enjoy the slow life for a few days.
5. Palmer and Gunn, Austinville
Always wanted to experience a stay in a tiny home? Palmer and Gunn is located at Austinville, around 1hr 15 mins south of Brisbane, making it perfect for a quick weekend getaway. Escape into nature and experience the luxuries of this charming tiny house, with the inclusions of a wood-fired cedar hot tub and plunge pool you can soak in, as well as views of the creek.

6. Tallowwood House, Northern Rivers
Situated within 20 acres of rainforest in Upper Burringbar, which is around two hours south of Brisbane, this rustic log cabin retreat will have you feeling like you’re off the grid without being too far from unique local treasures such as the popular Northern Rivers Rail Trail.
A stay at Tallowwood House comes complete with your own private outdoor bath and fire pit, as well as a hot tub and sauna with a forest view.
7. Barrel View Luxury Cabins, Granite Belt
Pair a weekend at the wineries with a sleepover in a giant wine barrel. Having opened in October 2022, Barrel View Luxury Cabins offers an Insta-worthy experience for wine enthusiasts alike.
Located in Ballandean, around three hours southwest of Brisbane, these super chic cabins are right on the doorstep of the Granite Belt wine region. This means you can spend the day sampling the local drops before wineing down in your human-sized barrel. Shotgun not being the deso driver.
8. Moogie Pod, Scenic Rim
Moogie Pod is a revamped shipping container you can stay in, surrounded by nature, with Lake Moogerah and the surrounding mountains just a stone’s throw away.
From the outside, Moogie Pod might seem like a regular shipping container. But on the inside is a cosy space, perfect for kicking back after a day of exploring.
With floor-to-ceiling windows, you’ll get 180-degree panoramic views of the bushland and beyond from Moogie Pod, which means sunrises and sunsets from your bed.
9. Alure Stanthorpe, Granite Belt
With an exceptionally glam safari-style glamping tent and private luxury split-level villas, Alure is the romantic and adults-only accommodation getaway you’ve been longing for. Located on 50 acres, there is privacy and tranquility on the farm. Each accommodation option also comes with an outdoor spa that you can use at night while looking up at the starry night sky.

10. 31 The Rocks, Granite Belt
Set yourself up at 31 The Rocks in one of their villas and you’re well on your way to having a romantic weekend away or clear-your-head break from the city. Each villa comes equipped with air-con for the hot summer months but winter is a favourite time of year thanks to the wood-burning fireplace.
Most of the accommodation options face west as well—in other words, glorious sunset views.

Our favourite of their four cottages, though, would have to be Tranquility as it’s equipped with a spa on the top level.
16. Cloudlake, High Country Hamlets
Cloudlake is a magical place to escape to. Found right next door to Ravensbourne National Park, the area is populated with an abundance of wildlife and wondrous things to see. And, the Cloudlake accommodation options, specifically The Boathouse and the tiny and cosy Romany Wood lodging, make a weekend getaway a reinvigorating time. Cuddle up inside by the log fires or brave the cold until your campfire burns bright in the night. The summer months bring with them many other joyous moments to share.

17. Granite Belt Retreat, Granite Belt
Accommodation with an onsite bar and brewery? Yeah, we like the sound of that. But, Granite Belt Retreat is much more than beer. It’s 30 acres of natural bushland, which is where you’ll find its timber cabins complete with log fire peppered throughout. However, you can also find pet-friendly cabins and spa cabins so you can soak in the tub and watch the fire crackle and pop.
When in summer, make a beeline for the Boonoo Boonoo Falls and sweet swimming holes in the area.
18. Witches Falls Cottages, Scenic Rim
Witches Falls Cottages is another adults-only accommodation option and all of their rooms come equipped with a double spa, a fireplace and a private outdoor area complete with a barbecue area.
