Brisbane definitely hasn’t got a shortage of amazing restaurants. But it’s not every day you see a bus repurposed into a fine dining suite. Introducing you to Da Biuso, a first of its kind to arrive in our city.
After the concept was announced last year (which had us unduly curious, to say the least), this fine dining bus is finally opening its doors for lunch and dinner from Friday, March 3, with a first stop at Ascot Green, right next to the racecourse.
The coach has been fully fitted with restaurant-style tables and only seats 12 at a time, creating a truly intimate dining experience.
On the menu: a Mediterranean-inspired degustation, consisting of six courses priced at $170 per person. Think caviar oysters, Tasmanian lamb with a balsamic bone reduction, seasonal seafood served with cream of saffron potato, and plenty more.
You can also add on paired Italian wines to your dining experience from a list exclusively curated and sourced for Da Biuso.
Or if you feel like summer in a drink, be sure to try their signature Spritz Cocktail, which is mixed with fresh Australian scampi as well as a prosecco reduction, Aperol and orange.
The idea with Da Biusco is that, while it stays parked for the duration of the dining experience, it will eventually relocate to new locations throughout the year.
“Being a mobile restaurant, we needed our first location to be a stand-out,” said co-founder, Sarah Biuso, “somewhere that guests can enjoy the experience but also connect with nature in a calm and beautiful space. The racecourse is a staple in Brisbane’s social scene, and Ascot Green sits alongside this as a newly developed precinct. It captures the essence of the city with its history, but also reflects the promise of what’s to come.”

The bus can also be hired for private events.
