King St Bakery is known for its freshly baked croissants, so much so the local joint has people flocking regularly just for a plain one. We don’t blame them, because the moreish pastries are absolutely worth it. And they’ll be even more worth it in July when you can grab one for free. Yes, that’s right, folks, King St is giving away over two thousand of their delicious plain croissants to celebrate Bastille Day, which falls on July 14.
Basically how it works is, King St Bakery will give away 100 free croissants every day in July, except for Sundays when they are closed. So you’ll want to get to the pastry palace pretty early. To score your complimentary croissant, all you have to do is buy a barista-made beverage from King St any day they’re open during July and your croissant will be free.
This would be the perfect morning pick-me-up for anyone who works in the city, or even as a destination brekkie date.
To keep things fair, the free croissants are limited to one per person, and they’ll be handed out on a first come first served basis.
