A feast for the eyes
Running alongside the city-wide Melt Festival of Queer Arts and Culture, Night Feast welcomes local and international artists to transform Brisbane Powerhouse and its surroundings. The free arts program includes everything from installations and performances to DJ sets, live music, and more.
Be sure to look out for Leeroy New’s latest installation, Tubignon, which is a fantastical exploration of the spirits that dwell beneath the seas, constructed from locally sourced, recycled and repurposed materials. Another installation worth seeing is Micah Rustichelli’s Demon Rhythm, a large-scale exhibition consisting of 1,000 images originally posted on Instagram, which the artist meticulously replicates and reimagines to create a hypnotic visual rhythm.
And, once you feel like burning off some calories, the irresistible pulse of their DJs will keep the energy high and attendees grooving to beat all night long! Or kick back at the American Express Garden Lounge and escape the crowds for a while.
