Stunning Tamborine Mountain just launched the ultimate pedal, sip and taste experience in the Scenic Rim: Peddly Picnics! Combining the best of both fitness and indulgence, this adventurous day out is full of food, fun, and even furry friends!
Bring that special someone, the whole family or your four-legged bestie for an unforgettable bike ride — with electric bikes, for a little extra help — along the breathtaking mountain ridge, with yummy stops at cellars, distilleries, breweries, cafés, and farm-to-table eateries along the way for a concept as simple, sustainable and gorgeous as Scenic Rim itself.

Highlights of the trail
The self-guided foodie trail can start at Picnic Real Food Bar, a local favourite known for nourishing, organic dishes, like their truly outstandingly fresh and flavourful salads and buttery house-baked pastries. Pedal on after fuelling up with their aromatic coffee and make your next stop Loborn Distillery: a chic aperitif distillery that specialises in modern amaro made with local botanicals. Sip on it and linger at this inviting space before cycling on.
The bevvies will continue at the double stop of Witches Falls Winery and Boxer Brewing Co. Whether you prefer the wild ferment wines of the former, the crisp cider and refreshing lagers of the latter, or a bit of both, there will be plenty to quench your thirst. If you’re looking for something stronger, The Cauldron Distillery, set on seven scenic hectares, is home to incredible gin and innovative agave spirits.

Nearby Saint Marthe Brasserie, a recently opened gem on Main Street, will cover all of your refined needs, with small, French-inspired dishes as jaw-dropping as sunsets on Tamborine Mountain. And for a final pick-me-up, there’s nowhere better than Tamborine Mountain Coffee Plantation for a truly local brew grown, roasted, and poured right on the mountain!
If you can’t eat another bite or drink another sip, spots like Curtis Falls Track, with its majestic waterfalls, or Robert Sowter Park Lookout’s panoramic views, offer a tranquil place to set your bikes down and simply appreciate the beauty of the Scenic Rim in good company.
