Since celebrated chef Guy Grossi opened his pastel blue-hued restaurant Settimo in the CBD’s Westin hotel last year, it’s become a favourite in Brisbane’s Italian dining scene. From regional Amalfi Coast specialties like beef onion ragu and cured mussels to the drool-worthy signature tiramisu, Settimo is a must-try if you haven’t already.
Kicking off the first birthday celebrations will be a complimentary cannoli pop-up at the Queen Street Mall Main Stage on Tuesday, February 20. From 7am to 10am, Guy Grossi and Settimo’s award-winning head chef Alessandro Pizzolato will be handing out free cannolis, so if you fancy a sweet morning treat, be sure to stop by.
Then on Friday, February 23, Settimo is set to host a special five-course dinner featuring a new menu and wines paired personally by Guy and Alessandro. Australian seafood with an Amalfi twist is a highlight here, including local fish and pipis, as well as a delicious spaghetti pomodoro.
Italophiles can also join a pasta class with Guy and Alessandro on Saturday, February 24, learning how to create authentic pasta with a glass of wine in hand.
Or pop in for Aperitivo Hour between 4 and 6pm Thursday to Saturday, where you can enjoy a signature cocktail and a tasting plate — for just $15.
