
Get your thinking cap on because from March 21 to March 30, the World Science Festival 2025 is taking place across iconic venues throughout the city, including Queensland Museum, the Cultural Precinct, South Bank Piazza, Fish Lane and more!
With more than 200 sessions delving into everything from groundbreaking scientific discoveries to engaging discussions and interactive experiences, the festival will also be commemorating 100 years since the initial development of quantum mechanics, presenting discussions on the biggest and most pressing questions of our time, such as First Nations knowledges and space exploration.
And don’t worry if you’re outside Brisbane: the festival will be touring regional Queensland, visiting Ipswich, Toowoomba, Gladstone, Chinchilla, and Townsville, so they’ll be plenty of science to go around!
Some of the highlights of this year’s program include a journey into the mysteries of quantum physics led by Festival Co-Founder Professor Brian Greene, an exploration of genetics research and its impact on aging, a lively science debate and even a showcase of world-class skaters testing the physics of skateboarding!
