We’re painting the town black! AC/DC have announced shows in Australia for the first time in a decade, embarking on five stadium-sized concerts in November and December. Demand for tickets is sure to be through the roof, as the tour sold more than 2 million tickets in 24 hours in Europe when they first went on sale there last year, so you’ll want to be on the lookout for them when they go on sale for Australia on Thursday, June 26.
The Pwr Up Tour shares its name with the band’s chart-topping 17th studio album, and with a lineup consisting of Johnson, Young, Stevie Young, Matt Laug, and Chris Chaney, you can expect a career-spanning setlist of hits from Aussie rockstars’ many classic albums. They will be supported in all Australian tour dates by legendary Melbourne pub-punk band Amyl & The Sniffers.
How to get tickets
Tickets for Acca Dacca’s stop at Brisbane’s Suncorp Stadium will go on sale at 11am AEST on June 26 and will be handled by Ticketek, so we recommend creating an account before the big day if you don’t have one already. You will also need the Ticketek app to access your purchased tickets, so you may want to download it ahead of time as well.
The company has warned that using more than one device and/or browser could result in triggering bot protection, which would get you removed from the queue, and the same goes for VPNs, so keep that in mind while you hunt for your tickets.
You can join the Ticketek Lounge will open an hour before tickets go on sale (10am), so don’t forget to set your alarm! Be careful not to refresh your browser and make sure you have your phone and bank details handy so you can make your purchase as quickly and smoothly as possible.
You can get up to eight tickets per transaction, and they will range in price from $132.45 to $407.70.
