Get ready to feel inspired and maybe even renew your space because the phenomenal Affordable Art Fair is returning to Brisbane after the success of its second edition last year — 12,000 attendees are expected this time around — with a four-day celebration of art at the spectacular Brisbane Showgrounds.
With prices starting as low as $100 and around 55 independent Australian galleries and over 400 artists exhibiting their work, beautifying your life has never been easier or more fun and interesting. As well as debuting and returning artists, visitors visitors will be able to witness live painting by renowned artists Madeleine Mckinlay, Mark Gawne, Brad Turner and Kathleen Nanima Rambler, making visitors a part of the creative process.
The Fair will also offer a Children’s Art Studio, aiming to introduce little ones to the magic of art and the power of creation. Curated by artist Claudio Kirac, budding artists of all ages can explore a vibrant kaleidoscope world inspired by toys, a love of the kawaii and collectable culture. Plus, drop in for complimentary creative activities and even free face painting!

There’s something for the adults too: Jason Parker will be bringing a unique rotating installation and a new mural that will have you pondering on the cycle of creation, destruction, and renewal.
If participating sounds like fun, you can’t miss Jackie Case’s Art ATM. This interactive installation allows you to purchase a custom artwork, generated from prompts you submit via a novelty credit card.
The spotlight will also be on First Nations art this year, featuring Artists of Ampilatwatja, an Aboriginal-owned corporation which supports ethical practice in the creation and sale of indigenous art, and Warlukurlangu Artists, a 100% Aboriginal-owned, nonprofit art centre dedicated to preserving Warlpiri culture.
