For the first time ever, a brand-new anime and pop culture event is set to take over Brisbane: AniMayhem is making its Queensland debut!
Created by the geniuses behind Oz Comic-Con, AniMayhem promises a high-energy, fan-first experience, celebrating anime, cosplay, gaming and Otaku culture.
With international guests, live entertainment and Itasha car designs, this is an anime fan’s dream!
What to expect
Dystopia-pop idol PAiDA is bringing chaos, cuteness, and cosmic energy to AniMayhem! Hailing from Space City, Texas, PAiDA is a fever-dream artist on a mission to bring humanity to its knees… and save Earth with cute music. After performing across the US and Japan, she’s now ready to take over AniMayhem.
Also on the guest list is Brisbane-based idol group A-MUSE Project, bringing electrifying live performances, original music and meet-and-greet opportunities after their appearance in the Tokyo Festival Asia Tour.
Adding to the visual spectacle, AniMayhem will also feature a vibrant Itasha car display, showcasing custom-wrapped vehicles adorned with bold, anime-inspired designs. You can get up close to these eye-catching builds and experience another unique expression of
anime creativity.
Other highlights include high-energy K-pop dance workshops; hands-on Japanese language sessions; an artist, cosplay, and expo floor; a chance to collect stamps throughout the con for a prize; panels, workshops, and performances from talented creators in the industry and the community; and even console gaming zones and TTRPG sessions!
Practical information
AniMayhem is making its highly anticipated debut on Saturday, May 2 and Sunday, May 3. Both days will run from 10am to 4pm.
Tickets for a single day will cost $39.90 per adult and $64.90 for the full weekend.
