The Art of Banksy: “Without Limits” experience at Queens Plaza, has now closed its doors after a successful run of over 89K tickets sold. This captivating art exhibition was one of the biggest and most complete collections of Banksy’s work, and has been immensely popular since its opening.
Banksy’s artworks have journeyed from the alleyways of England to some of the biggest art museums in the world. His subject matter is often antiauthoritarian, and his simple but iconic imagery has turned the art world on its head on multiple occasions. Now, residents of Brisbane can attend this museum-quality exhibition, and make up their own minds about this elusive artist.

Despite being nominated for an Oscar for his role as director in Exit Through the Gift Shop, and being chosen as one of the Times 100 most influential people, Banksy has remained firm in his anonymity. He has often said that he does not want his identity or anything else to detract from what he felt was most important – the art.
At this limited-time exhibition, artworks have been sourced from over 40 different art collectors around the world, to create one of the most complete exhibitions of Banksy’s work. The art pieces on display are mainly dated between the years 1997 to 2008, the period which resulted in Banksy’s most recognisable and well-known works.

One of the highlights of the exhibition is the Infinity Room, where visitors can step into a room full of multiple installations, including the renowned Dismaland Bemusement Park. The room is designed to give visitors the feeling of being lost in a vast, infinite space, highlighting Banksy’s signature style of creating thought-provoking and immersive art. Additionally, Banksy’s stencilled artworks have been recreated specifically for this exhibition and will also be showcased.
For those who want to learn more about the mysterious Banksy, there will be a video documentary detailing the thought process around his work and will give you a deeper understanding of the life of the artist. The artworks will also include descriptive plaques, to provide extra information to visitors.
With tickets starting at $29, The Art Of Banksy: “Without Limits” is a rare opportunity for fans in Brisbane to appreciate such a complete collection of Banksy’s work. The exhibition has also included a group ticket option for groups of 20 to 50 people to purchase tickets at a discounted price. Make sure you don’t miss it!
