The Art of Banksy “Without Limits” Chapter Two – Celebrating 10 years of Defiance
This new Banksy exhibition made its world premiere in Brisbane, and is continuing into 2026. Another iconic showing of the insightful street artist, this unprecedented collection brings over 300 pieces — three times as many as in previous editions! — of which 100 are original pieces. Not just that, but visitors can truly experience the world of Banksy through immersive installations, digital mapping shows, sculptures and even holograms.

Olafur Eliasson: Presence

Icelandic-Danish artist Olafur Eliasson invites us from December 6, 2025 to engage our sense of perception through a primordial landscape spanning the artist’s three-decade career. Across GOMA’s ground floor galleries, the exhibition includes important early works and expansive site-specific installations, many developed especially for Presence.

Croc! Lost Giants to Living Legends

This moving exhibition brings together the personal stories of six Papua New Guinean women living in Queensland, exploring their experiences of identity, community, and cultural connection in the diaspora.
Timed to coincide with the 50th anniversary of Papua New Guinea’s independence, un/tethered invites visitors to reflect on cultural survival, sovereignty, and the ways communities remain tethered to their roots even when far from home through personal objects and narratives.

Shimmer: An Artist in Residence project by Gerwyn Davies
Contemporary artist Gerwyn Davies showcases his vibrant photographs that explore identity, transformation and visibility in this highly celebrated. The portraits feature trans and gender diverse young people from Open Doors Youth Service, each pictured in handcrafted sculptural costumes co-created with the artist.

Stories You Wear: Magpie Goose

This exclusive to Brisbane exhibition, developed in collaboration with Magpie Goose owners Amanda Hayman (Wakka Wakka and Kalkadoon) and Troy Casey (Kamilaroi), offers a deep dive into the work of some of the region’s most talented First Peoples artists and designers. Using clothing as a canvas for storytelling, this exhibition connects audiences with the rich and diverse cultural expressions of First Peoples communities in Queensland and beyond.

Cribb Island: Brisbane’s Lost Suburb
Brisbane artist Joyce Hyam captures scenes of collapsed housing with rusted roofs, and abandoned boats among mangrove trees in her inky watercolour series, Cribb Island: Brisbane’s Lost Suburb.
Cribb Island was once a vibrant suburb built on the Traditional Lands of the Yuggera and Turrabul people. Affectionately known as “Cribbie”, this popular seaside destination offered affordable housing during the Great Depression and was the childhood home of the Bee Gees! It now forms part of the Brisbane Airport, but its memory endures through art.

BLEACH* 2026
