This Labour Day long weekend, on Sunday May 4, bring your most authentic self to Big Gay Day 2025, because the LGBTQIA+ festival is celebrating its 25 years with a stunning lineup that will have you partying ’til you drop.
Held in the Wickham Hotel and headlined by Peach PRC and The Presets, the street party will showcase a dazzling succession of popstars, drag queens, musicians and DJs. Plus, this year’s event will also see Harry K taking over The Wickham’s Beer Garden with his Outrage.us Block Party.
Other acts include Jimi The Kween, Gogo Bumhole, The David, Kayty Banks, Lazy Susan, Vybe, Mandy Moobs, Freya Armani, Reef vs Beef, Femme Follies, Poof Doof, and Mega Drag. And back for another year, the wonderful Paul Wheeler as MC!
Join in the fun and dress on theme… This year’s? The fabulous noughties! Grab your flip phone, your chunky platforms and your questionable low-rise jeans, because Big Gay Day is going unapologetically Y2K. Think all things denim, rhinestones and glitter, plus accessories on accessories: butterfly clips, big belts, anything but subtle!
Even more importantly, you get to have a fabulous day full of color and pride for a good cause! Each year, Big Gay Day raises money for LGBTQIA+ charities and, in 2025, proceeds will be donated to Open Doors Youth Service (ODYS). Also celebrating its 25th anniversary, ODYS was created by community for community and remains Queensland’s only dedicated LGBTIQ+ Sistergirl and Brotherboy (SB) youth service. ODYS supports SB young people aged 12 to 24.
Tickets go on sale starting Thursday March 6 at 10am, and you can find them and more information about the festival here.
