Starting Thursday, May 8, Brisbane City Markets is headed to a new destination, bringing its signature vibrancy and incredible wares with it: Queen’s Wharf Brisbane.
Look for your favourite stalls and local artists weekly against the backdrop of this top-notch precinct within the iconic George Street Foyer. As with all other locations of the Brisbane City Markets, this one will provide the very best goodies and artisan finds, not to mention Brissy’s best street eats to grab and go in the heart of the city, as the George Street Foyer directly connects the CBD through to the riverfront and Southbank.
Whether you’re searching for your next favourite gourmet street food, a last-minute gift, fresh flowers or just a sunny excuse to step out of the office, the market offers a conveniently central mid-week oasis right in the middle of the city.
“Connecting exciting local start-ups and some of Brisbane’s best artisan vendors within the new Queen’s Wharf shows just how much Brisbane’s CBD is evolving as a place to work, socialise and invest,” said Mark Power, Director of Goodwill Projects Markets.
On the market menu every Thursday, starting on May 8 from 8am to 2pm, you’ll find mouth-watering street eats as well as gourmet bites from some of Brisbane’s top food vendors, rotating premium stalls packed with handmade, one-of-a-kind goodies — equally perfect for lunch-break impulse buys or well thought out presents — and live music that will reenergise you so you can finally send that email you’ve been dreading.
