If there’s one thing we know about Brissy, it’s that cycling is wildly popular in terms of transport, and a fancied sport at that. So if you’re a wheel enthusiast, then look no further. Brisbane Cycling Festival is back from March 24 – April 14 for 20 days of epic biking fun for the whole family.
You can catch championships, ride with Australian cycling legends, attend a “cycling disco”, cover yourself and your bike in rainbow colours, eat an array of delicious street food, and much more.
Taking over Brisbane Showgrounds on King Street, this cycling-dedicated fiesta caters to cyclists and their families: from beginners to elite. There are plenty of events to check out throughout the festival, including a free Pop-Up Festival Village from April 8 – 10, packed to the brim with food trucks and entertainment.
Another event to look out for is Colour Your Ride, which is pretty much like the Colour Run, but on your bike. Not only will you and your bike be covered in colours of the rainbow, but you’ll also be raising awareness for mental health too with the Love Me Love You foundation.
Aside from the main cycling festival events, we recommend winding down after a day’s strain on the legs with an all-inclusive spa and massage experience from Away Spa at W Brisbane. Their Brisvegas #SpaDay package will have you feeling rejuvenated while you take a break from the action.
