The Brisbane Sake Festival is a unique and refreshing Japanese sake experience, bringing together premium sake, food, and culture, a winning combination that will transport you all the way to Japan, without ever having to leave Brissy!

What to expect
Featuring over 100 varieties of Japanese sake to explore, you’ll get to meet sake breweries and the makers behind them visiting directly from Japan, as well as Australian distributors, who bring their own twist to the spirit.
With limited entry numbers, you can taste at your own pace, and even bring a bottle — or a few bottles — home to enjoy and experience even after the event is over!
You can also experience Japanese culture beyond the glass, with stories and insights you won’t hear anywhere else. Not only that, but you can indugle in a wide range of Japanese food stalls, offering everything from savoury dishes and street food to sweet treats.
Peruse the stalls for traditional artisan crafts and lifestyle goods that will have you itching for your next trip. In fact, anyone who buys a ticket to the Brisbane Sake Festival 2026 is automatically entered into a draw to win a return trip to Japan, so who knows? This may just be the beginning of your sake journey!
Winner or not, you’ll really want to take advantage of the free, beginner-friendly seminars at the festival, including Sake 101 sessions led by a Sake Samurai!
