The season for sweets is nearly here, and Brisbane Marriott’s Motion Dining restaurant is treating us to a truly decadent Easter High Tea. Cocktails served inside chocolate bunnies, scones spiked with Bailey’s. This is one boozy high tea experience you’ll want to hop on over to.
This special Easter High Tea is served only on Easter Saturday and Easter Sunday from 12.30pm – 3.30pm. And what better way to get into the festive spirit than with themed food and drinks?
You’ll start off your high tea session with a Toblerone Cocktail on arrival, which is served inside a chocolate bunny. It’s pretty much a case of drinking your cocktail and then eating it afterward.
But that’s not the only tipples you’ll be able to sip on. During the three-beverage package, you can pair your bites with Moet & Chandon Rose Champagne, Pizzini Brachetto ‘Rose Styled’ Moscato and Miraval Rose.
Tea and coffee will, of course, also be readily available.
The gourmet selection of bites, which look almost too good to eat, is the craftmanship of Motion Dining’s Executive Chef, Peter Iwanczyk.
Sweet tooths will be in heaven with tiny treats such as Brisbane Marriott Hotel’s chocolate scones with rose, lychee and strawberry reserve and spiked Baileys cream. There will also be a chocolate hazelnut tart, passionfruit dark chocolate sandwich, jasmine tea mousse as well as a strawberry cream groove tart.
As for the savoury food, you can’t go past the delicious finger sandwiches, which come with an assortment of filling such as shrimp, cucumber & dill, smoked turkey, watercress & apple, shaved ham, heirloom tomato & relish, and free range egg & baby herb.
