Bruno Mars is bringing his blockbuster The Romantic Tour back to Australia in 2027, adding eight stadium shows across Perth, Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney before the tour continues to New Zealand and Asia.
The 16-time GRAMMY winner announced 28 new stadium dates across Australia, New Zealand and Asia on Thursday, alongside a fifth Mexico City show. The new dates come as The Romantic Tour continues its record-breaking run across North America.
Australian fans will find get two major special guests in two-time GRAMMY winner Tyla will join Mars across every Australian and New Zealand date, while nine-time GRAMMY winner Anderson .Paak returns as DJ Pee .Wee for the newly announced shows.
Bruno Mars adds eight Australian stadium shows
The Australian leg begins at Perth’s Optus Stadium on Saturday, 13th February, 2027, before Mars heads east for three nights at Melbourne’s Marvel Stadium. He will then play Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane on 28th February and on 1st March, followed by two shows at Sydney’s Accor Stadium on 4th and 5th March.
The Australian dates are:
- Saturday, 13th February — Optus Stadium, Perth
- Friday, 19th February — Marvel Stadium, Melbourne
- Saturday, 20th February — Marvel Stadium, Melbourne
- Tuesday, 23rd February — Marvel Stadium, Melbourne (new!)
- Sunday, 28th February — Suncorp Stadium, Brisbane
- Monday, 1st March — Suncorp Stadium, Brisbane (new!)
- Thursday, 4th March — Accor Stadium, Sydney
- Friday, 5th March — Accor Stadium, Sydney
Mars will then cross the Tasman for a 13th March show at Auckland’s Eden Park.
However, for Melbourne fans, the three-night Marvel Stadium run gives the city another chance to see one of pop’s biggest live performers following Mars’ previous record-breaking international touring runs.
Tyla and Anderson .Paak are joining him
This time, the Australian and New Zealand shows come with an especially strong supporting lineup.
Tyla will join Mars for every date in the region. The South African superstar broke through internationally with “Water” and has since followed it with her second album, APOP*, which includes singles including “CHANEL” and “IS IT LOVE?” Anderson .Paak will also return to the road with Mars in his DJ Pee .Wee guise.
The pair’s musical partnership stretches beyond the tour: Mars and .Paak are also the duo Silk Sonic, whose collaboration has produced multiple GRAMMY wins and a sold-out Las Vegas residency.
The Romantic Tour is already breaking records
The Australian announcement arrives amid extraordinary demand for the tour. According to the announcement, The Romantic Tour generated some of the largest single-day ticket sales in history across North America, Europe and the UK. Moreover, Ticketmaster also recorded 2.1 million tickets sold in a single day.
The tour now encompasses more than 115 stadium shows across North America, Europe, the UK, Asia, Australia, New Zealand and Mexico.
Mars is currently completing the second North American leg, after launching his first headline tour in almost a decade with two sold-out Las Vegas shows in April.
The scale of the tour is already amazing, with six nights booked at London’s Wembley Stadium and five-night runs planned for Toronto, Los Angeles, Vancouver and Mexico City.
The tour follows Mars’ biggest album debut
The stadium tour supports Mars’ long-awaited fourth solo album, The Romantic, which made history for the singer by debuting at No. 1 on the Billboard 200.
It also topped Apple’s Global Album Chart, Spotify’s Global Album Chart and Spotify’s Top US Album Chart. The album includes “I Just Might”, described in the announcement as Mars’ 10th No. 1 single and his first to debut at the top of the chart. “Risk It All” also reached No. 1 on the Billboard Global 200.
Mars has spent much of the past decade building one of pop’s most formidable live reputations, from his Las Vegas residency to major stadium tours across Australia, Asia, the Middle East and South America.
In 2024, he became the first international artist of the 21st century to sell out seven consecutive shows at Tokyo Dome. That same year, he played 14 sold-out stadium shows across five Brazilian cities, setting what the announcement describes as the highest-grossing tour in Brazilian history.
When do Bruno Mars tickets go on sale?
Australian and New Zealand fans can access the Bruno Mars Artist Presale on Wednesday, 2nd September, provided they sign up by Sunday, 30th August at 11:59pm local time.
