Your invitation has arrived — venture into the magical Land of Oz with the help of live classical music and a sea of candles this January. At The Wizard of Oz – A classical concert, a talented string quartet will journeying through the iconic soundtrack inside The Princess Theatre in Brisbane.
The enchantment of The Wizard of Oz sticks with us through its unforgettable characters — from the hilarious Scarecrow to the loyal Cowardly Lion — and its timeless story that never gets old. And central to this magic is the film’s soundtrack, which guides Dorothy on her magical journey to meet The Wizard. Now, audiences can experience this timeless classic through a live classical concert in Brisbane.
Candlelight: The Wizard of Oz – A Classical Concert
The Wizard of Oz enchants audiences through its story and its music, which captures the heart of every scene. Whether it’s the spirited cheer of “Follow the Yellow Brick Road” in Munchkinland or the Scarecrow’s endearing tune “If I Only Had a Brain,” these musical moments make the story unforgettable.
This season, let the enchanting melodies from the movie sweep you off your feet in a magical 60-minute Candlelight concert. A talented string quartet performs timeless classics like “Over the Rainbow” and “We’re Off to See the Wizard” all while bathed in the warm, flickering glow of thousands of candles. Music, memories and the glow of candlelight shine bright at this classical The Wizard of Oz tribute concert.
Warner Bros. Discovery Global Experiences and Candlelight proudly present this live music tribute to The Wizard of Oz coming to Brisbane’s Princess Theatre this season. Guests are invited to don their most dazzling Oz-inspired outfits — think sparkling ruby slippers, shimmering emerald gowns and everything in between. It’s a spellbinding musical journey that celebrates the songs, magic and nostalgia that Oz brings.
Each performance lasts 60 minutes, with doors opening 45 minutes before the concert begins. Seating within each zone is first come, first served, and late entry is not allowed, so we suggest arriving early to ensure a smooth experience.
