By popular demand, Customs House’s winter-themed bar is back in Queen Street, River and Story Bridge views included.
The igloo bar is made up of several spacious igloos, which are decked out with a heater and furnished with comfy chairs covered in gorgeous furry blankets for you to snuggle up to. Once you’re all wrapped up, settle in and sip your way through the afternoon with a glass — or two, or even a bottle — of Veuve Clicquot. Australian, New Zealand and French wines are also available if you’re looking for something that’ll warm you from the inside out, as well as Veuve Clicquot winter-themed cocktails.
You’ll get all the luxury of après-ski without the exertion and with plenty more Veuve Clicquot in hand. Expect unbeatable views of the Brisbane River and Story Bridge, and an irreskistible seasonal menu that goes from exclusive snacks — including the famed Customs House classic: citrus-fed Wagyu rump cap with green peppercorn mustard and jus to a full multi-course feast with Dining in the Domes.
This experience features mouth-watering dishes like wood-smoked buffalo mozzarella, Shark Bay scallops with cauliflower puree and strawberry vinegar, grass-fed beef tartar and hand-rolled gnocchi, and a decadent chocolate tarte with creamy Tahitian vanilla cream to top things off!
If you truly want to feel like the height of sophistication even with no slopes in sight, their enchanting Clicquot Chalet Winter High Tea has the finest finger foods you can get your mittens on, with a selection of savoury canapes, freshly baked scones and an array of petit fours, with the option to sip on steaming French tea or coffee — or, of course, Veuve Clicquot because it’s always time for champagne.
