1. Falling For Christmas
Lindsay Lohan’s comeback, and what better way than with a heartwarming Christmas rom-com? Lohan plays a hotel heiress who loses her memory in a skiing accident. She is taken into care from a lodge owner, where she tries to remember who she is, all the while finding love in an unexpected place.
2. The Grinch
The Dr. Seuss classic got yet another reimagining in 2018 with this Illumination film. The perfect movie for some family fun, it centres on the grumpy Grinch who plans to ruin Christmas for his happy neighbours in Whoville.
3. Single All The Way
4. Love Actually
A bona fide modern Christmas classic, eight vastly different couples navigate their lives over Christmastime in this London-set holiday classic starring Hugh Grant, Colin Firth, Emma Thompson, Keira Knightley and more. Whether you love it or love to hate it, no holiday season is complete without a rewatch!
5. El Camino Christmas
If you want to laugh until it hurts, this 2017 film will do just finely. Starring Jessica Alba and Tim Allen, this flick follows a drifter, a drunk, a deputy, a reporter, and a single mum as they experience an unexpectedly wild Christmas.
6. Our Little Secret
The latest in Lindsay Lohan’s triumphant return to the screens, this Christmassy romcom follows two exes who discover their new partners are siblings and find themselves spending the holidays together. Wanting to impress her current boyfriend’s mum — a delightfully catty Kristin Chenoweth — Lohan’s character insists that they keep their past relationship a secret. But can proximity reignite the sparks?
7. Let It Snow
A sweet, YA take on a Love Actually-style story, interweaving multiple characters and plotlines, this underrated Christmas film follows a group of young people who are throwing a party in a snowstorm, with three different couples finding love along the way.
8. Hot Frosty
Hear us out! As Christmas movie premises go, this one may be the most ridiculous, which is saying something, but this sweet, goofy story about Frosty the Snowman turning into a real-life hunk — or should we say himbo? — is self-aware enough to lean into the silliness while remaining charming.
9. The Princess Switch 3: Romancing the Star
That’s right, yet another entry in the VHCU (Vanessa Hudgens Cinematic Universe), this one follows lookalikes Margaret (former princess of Belgravia), Stacy (current princess of Belgravia) and Fiona (the bad girl of the group and Margaret’s cousin), as they plan to get a priceless stolen relic back. Who would’ve thought what started as a Prince and the Pauper-inspired story about a baking contest would end up a heist movie?
10. Klaus
Undoubtedly the best Christmas film on this — and possibly any — list, this beautifully animated masterpiece is not so-bad-it’s-good or even cheesy-good, it’s just plain good. A retelling of Santa’s origin story, you may think you’ve seen something like it before, but the addition of Jesper the postman as the main character, breathes new life into the tale and makes it the definition of heartwarming.
