Be swept away by a world of thrills, chills and edge-of-your-seat surprises at Cirque du Soleil’s globally acclaimed KOOZA. Aussie fans will see the return of the iconic and beloved Big Top, which will house yet another stunning show led by international talent.
Thanks to the roaring success of past tours, with LUZIA and, earlier this year, CORTEO, the entertainment juggernaut is returning next winter to deliver a spectacular, laughter-filled celebration of traditional circus.
Featuring their usual — yet always innovative — death-defying acrobatics, artistry, and the art of clowning, KOOZA invites audiences into a “circus in a box”, a self-contained world that is bursting with surprises, thrills, chills and delight.
It takes Cirque du Soleil back to basics, yet is by no means “basic”: the show highlights the physical demands of human performance in all its splendour and fragility with humour and electrifying energy. It follows The Innocent, a melancholy loner in search of his place in the world, whose journey brings him into contact with exotic characters such as the King, the Trickster and the Obnoxious Tourist and his Bad Dog.

Undeniably one of Cirque du Soleil’s most daring touring productions, thanks to its emphasis on human performance, KOOZA takes audiences on a thrilling ride with its nail-biting, mind-boggling acrobatics, all while exploring themes of fear, identity, recognition and power.
Since its debut in 2007, the show has delivered high-flying feats, whimsical characters, lavish costuming — more than 175 of them! — colourful sets, hilarious clowning and a powerful live score to almost eight million spectators with more than 5,000 performances in more than 70 cities across 23 countries.
The name KOOZA comes from the Sanskrit word “koza,” meaning “box” or “treasure,” symbolising the “circus in a box” concept. It features a world-renowned cast of 56 artists from 19 different nationalities, including six live musicians and two singers. They are responsible for the show’s live soundtrack, which blends 1970s funk, orchestral arrangements and traditional Indian music, and will have you boogeying in your seat.
