Brisbane’s culinary scene is no secret and it’s been booming for the past few years. So much so that for the fifth year in a row, Dine BNE City will be filling our bellies with over 100 exclusive offers and special dining events for a whole month, from June 1 to June 30!
More than 60 restaurants will be participating in this year’s edition of the festival, so you’ll be able to chow down on everything from signature lunches and indulgent dinners to specially curated sip and snack pairings.
If your stomach’s already growling, we’ve got great news! The feast kicks off on Friday, May 30 with the return of Fireside, the stunning, wintery launch event held under the stars at the Grounds of St Stephen’s Cathedral. The event is an all-inclusive dining experience from a hand-picked selection of top-notch Brisbane venues, brought together for one night only of open-air feasting and live entertainment.
Some of the treats you can expect will be prepared by the culinary geniuses behind Dark Shepherd, Doughcraft, The Brasserie & The Fifty Six, and the legendary Walter’s. There will of course be tasty bevvies to sip on alongside the food, and they’ll be served by newcomer Club Felix, who are sure to impress with unique drinks like Inflorescence — fig-infused Johnnie Walker, vanilla and allspice — and a selection of wines as well.
Other amazing eateries on the program include long-time crowd-pleasers like Donna Chang, Walter’s Steakhouse & Bar, Rothwell’s, Patina at Customs House, Opa Bar + Mezze, The Lex, Persone, The Gresham, and Tillerman Seafood Restaurant, all of whom will once again delight diners with special menus and offerings.
Besides the newcomers featuring in Fireside, other thrilling venues joining the line-up this year are Stilts, Mulga Bill’s, Little Miss Sunshine, The Merchant Exchange, Luc Lac, Dark Shepherd, Pompette Champagne Bar & Restaurant, Osso Bar Italia and Trove Cocktail Bar.
The program consists of four themed experiences: ‘Let’s Do Lunch’, which offers a variety of $25 or $35 lunch deals, and ‘Supper Club’, which includes specially curated dinner menus for after-dark foodies. ‘Bar Safari’ takes bar hopping to the next level, with signature drink and food pairings from some of Brisbane’s best bars and hidden gems. And finally, ‘Special Events’, offering exclusive banquets, tastings, and one-off culinary moments!
