Disney has wowed and enamored audiences for close to a century. From the depths of the ocean with Ariel to following Simba’s journey to Mulan’s epic warrior tale, both little kids and big kids have given way to fantasy and delved into imagined worlds to follow the adventures and stories of their favourite characters. However, sometimes we adults are keen on a bit of Disney sans children, and Queensland Museum’s Disney: The Magic of Animation. is the perfect place to do just that.
After Dark is the Queensland Museum’s adults-only night where the museum and its exhibitions come alive. This includes Disney: The Magic of Animation, which features over 500 original artworks to honour Disney classics of the past century, as well as exclusive access to SparkLab, Sciencentre as well as Wild State, an exhibition on First Nations storytelling and artefacts.
There’s live music too, drinks and food available to purchase and the chance to meet live animals.
Queensland Museum’s last After Dark offering takes place on Thursday, January 19, 2023.
Tickets are now on sale and as usual, you better act fast if you’re keen on experiencing Disney: The Magic of Animation with no kids running around. Tickets to these nights sell out—generally well in advance. Get your tickets here.
‘Disney: The Magic Of Animation’ is open until January 22, 2023.
