Yee-haw! Get ready for a wild ride, because the Flame BBQ & Music Festival is coming back to Jimboomba on Saturday, September 13!
An easy 40-minute drive from Brisbane, cheerful Jimboomba is hosting the biggest country day out, showcasing the very best of our region’s BBQ, offering up live entertainment and even unexpected workshops and competitions!
What to expect
The star of this rodeo, of course, will be the meats! There will be mouth-watering local food trucks galore, serving up some of the best gourmet barbeque you’ve ever tried — plus burgers and other crowd-pleasers to fit every palate and budget — not to mention showing off with live cooking demos and displays. Pop-up bars pouring ice-cold beers and other drinks will wash down ever delicious bite.
Nothing pairs better with food than some twangy, toe-tappin’ live tunes, and you’ll be able to dance to the rhythm of a star-studded lineup, including 2025 CMAA Golder Guitar Female Artist of the Year Mac Jackson, Australian Idol’s Jake Whittaker, and country DJ Dee Jaye Bux. Got two left feet? Don’t worry, There will be a line-dancing 101 workshop to go over the basics!
But it wouldn’t be a country festival without some dare-devil feats, so get ready to gape at the Whip Flame Show and even try your hand at whip cracking yourself! The Fire Knife Showcase’s blend of tradition and badass stunts is also sure to leave you in awe.
If you’d rather put your own skills to the test and your friends share your appetite for glory, you can enter the Team Relay Eating Competition, test your vocal chords calling for your pardner at the Country Spouse Shout Competition or, if your locks could kill, try to get the gold at Battle of the Mullet!
All of this plus a market with unique local products and unlimited free activities for the kids, including a 15+ eating competition, inflatable horse racing, face painting and thrilling rides!
