Iconic American rock band Foo Fighters is making a highly anticipated trek Down Under for a run of stadium shows as part of their Take Cover Tour. The band is making good on their promise from last month, when they promised to be back in Oz soon after a one-off concert in Tasmania, during which they also teased upcoming new music!
Fans can expect chart-topping hits like Everlong and some of the heart-racing anthems that have been winning audiences over throughout more than three decades, as the band, made up of superstar front-man Dave Grohl, guitarists Pat Smear and Chris Shiflett, bassist Nate Mendel, keyboardist Rami Jaffee and new drummer Ilan Rubin — following the tragic loss of longtime drummer Taylor Hawkins — are known for packing their shows to the brim with all their bangers.

Supporting acts
Foo Fighter are renowned for supporting local talent wherever they go, and Australia won’t be the exception.
Brisbane rockers Full Flower Moon Band, who supported Foo Fighters in Tasmania, will open both Queensland dates. In Suncorp Stadium they will be joined by Byron Bay quartet Mini Skirt, and in Townsville by Sydney punks Down Girl.
Sydney will also have the support of The Belair Lip Bombs, alongside Tasmanian trio Teens. In Newcastle, Sydney pub-punks C.O.F.F.I.N. will take the stage with all-female alt-rock band The Buoys.
Frenzee will play Melbourne along with Lip Bombs, Kurralta Park and Spooky Eyes will open for Adelaide, and Southern River Band and Last Quokka will do the same for Perth.
How to get tickets
Tickets for Foo Fighter’s unmissable show at Suncorp Stadium will go on pre-sale first for Telstra Plus Members on Friday, February 20. For Kiwi fans, there will also be a Spark Customer pre-sale the same day, both for 48 hours. And, on Monday, February 23, the Frontier Members pre-sale will kick off for 24 hours. All pre-sales start at 12pm AEST.
The general sale will start on Wednesday, February 25 at 12 pm.
The company has warned that using more than one device and/or browser could result in triggering bot protection, which would get you removed from the queue, and the same goes for VPNs, so keep that in mind while you hunt for your tickets.
You can join the waiting room an hour before tickets go on sale (11am), so don’t forget to set your alarm! Be careful not to refresh your browser and make sure you have your phone and bank details handy so you can make your purchase as quickly and smoothly as possible.
You can get up to eight tickets per transaction (4 tickets during the pre-sales), and they will range in price from $99.90 to $249.90 approximately
