Why go all the way to France to experience the European country’s famous wine culture when you can taste it all right here in Brisbane? After a hosting a successful afternoon wine festival last year, Southside and Kiki are set to serve up a French edition this March, teaming up with Half Moon Wine Store again, this time to showcase the best French wine in the biz.
Fresco Wine Festival: French Touch will take over Southside & Kiki’s leafy green space for one afternoon only on Sunday, March 5 from 12 – 3pm.
During the three hours of the festival, you can expect to lap up bottomless wine sampling of the sixty-plus French wines on offer. Keep your eyes peeled for vino brands from hidden gem wine regions such as Beaujolais, the Loire Valley and Languedoc. And remember to pace yourself if you want to taste your way through them.
To pair with your palette, Southside will be serving up plenty of snacks from the kitchen, including a selection of Dim Sums. We’ll all need that, especially when there’s so many wines we can try.
If you find a wine you really like on the day, you can order a bottle or five from Half Moon at the festival, to have posted to your place, free delivery included. I.e. you might end up having stock for the rest of the year after this festival.
From 3pm, a French-themed after party will kick off amongst the jungle surrounds, with special guest DJs, cocktails, and more.
Tickets to Fresco Wine Festival: French Touch are available now for $65 per person.
