Globally recognised as one of the best beer festivals in the world and the biggest one in Australia, the Great Australian Beer SpecTAPular (GABS) will be back early next year for a tour Down Under, stopping at the BCEC in May.
With over 100 new and exclusive brews under one roof, your head will be spinning — and not just from the beer! Novelty flavour combos, like cookie stouts and lollipop sours, await your discovery at Australia’s longest bar, which will have no less than 120 taps! While 100 of them will be dedicated to beers, the other 20 will be serving up a variety of spirits and cocktails, so even non-beer-lovers can enjoy a bevvy.
Some of GABS’ brews have taken on a life of their own afterwards, with success stories like Hop Nation’s Jedi Juice, Feral Brewing’s Karma Citra & Imperial Biggie and Deeds Brewing’s Juice Train NEIPA. But it’s not all new, shiny breweries! The world’s oldest brewery, Weihenstephan, will be pouring their award-winning beers for the second year in a row.
If beer, spirits, cocktails, wine and non-alcoholic drinks weren’t enough to entice you, at GABS you can also expect everything from live music and circus performances, merch stalls, beer games, eating competitions, mouth-watering food trucks and we’ve barley scratched the surface!
