If you love all things craft beer, you’ll be spoilt for choice at this awesome festival in Brisbane. GABS Festival, A.K.A The Great Australasian Beer SpecTAPular, is back to bring together the best breweries from Australia and New Zealand.
It’s a place where tasting paddles become the new buffet. Where you can treat your palate to a huge selection of brews from local and interstate brands, all the while enjoying some epic eats and live entertainment.
This is one craft beer fest you won’t want to miss out on.
GABS Festival will head to South Bank on Saturday, June 10, with two five-hour sessions to choose from: 11am – 4.30pm or 6pm – 11.30pm.
First and foremost, the cornerstone attraction at GABS would have to be the festival beers that are specially-brewed for the event. And this year, they’re truly raising the bar in a big way.
Grab a tasting paddle and choose from 120 taps pouring frothy creations inspired by breakfast treats, savoury snacks, delicious desserts, classic cocktails and more.
We’re talking lavender cheesecake, bubble tea flavoured brews, as well as cinnamon pastry, Tim Tam, peanut butter, blueberry marshmallow, cotton candy, Biscoff ice cream, and the list goes on.
This year’s line up of exhibitors ranges from new and emerging brands to the well-established. Local Queensland breweries you can expect to see are Balter, Currumbin Valley Brewing, Black Hops, Valley Hops, Green Beacon, Aether, Burleigh Brewing, Revel, and Your Mates just to name a few.
Although, if you’re not a beer drinker, then not to worry. There will be something for everyone at GABS Festival, including plenty of wines, seltzers, gin, and cocktails.
You won’t just be filling up on bevvies either. You can expect a tasty selection of street food, as well as silent disco, panel discussions, roaming bands, games and more.
Your ticket will also include a souvenir GABS Festival Glass and a guide to all the beer tasting notes.
So, what are you waiting for? Gather the gang for a tremendous day out tasting some of the best beer around.
