Good Things Festival is coming back for another summer of showcasing the best of the best of alternative rock music! Debuting in 2018, the festival has since become a staple for Aussie music lovers and has been the stage for acts as legendary as The Offspring, Dropkick Murphys, Bring Me the Horizon, Fall Out Boy, Limp Bizkit, Korn and more.
This year, headlining this epic chapter in Good Things’ history, are one of the world’s most idiosyncratic heavy music acts, celebrating no less than their 35th anniversary: Tool. Fusing metal, rock, and alternative sounds through undeniable grooves, thrilling instrumental runs, and hypnotic vocal refrains the group has reached dizzying heights, without ever compromising their experimental sound. This will be Tool’s first Australian appearance in over five years, so you won’t want to miss it!
Joining them at the top of the roster is legendary contemporary indie rock band, Weezer, whose chart-topping hits like Buddy Holly, Say It Ain’t So and Island In The Sun and beloved albums have had an almost immeasurable impact on the trajectory of indie rock, emo, and power-pop since their release.
Returning to Australia for the first time in nearly a decade, 90s rockers Garbage will be delighting Aussie crowds by ripping through classic cuts like Stupid Girl and Only Happy When It Rains, as well as more recent bangers.
And that’s just the beginning of the all-star lineup! Featuring everything from pop-punk to metalcore and everything in between, so you’ll get to rock out to All Time Low and The All-American Rejects, Refused — in their final ever Australian shows, no less — New Found Glory, Dead Poet Society, Gwar and many, many other legends!
As if that weren’t enough, on top of the mouth-watering food trucks all over the Showgrounds, Good Things also has Stage 666, a never-ending performance of alternative entertainment, including pole dancers, live bands, burlesque dancers and competitions. There’s also the straitjacket escapades of Captain Ruin, the punk rock clown, and rock karaoke with Kill Your Pop Stars, including a tribute to the late great Ozzy Ozborne!
