Brisbane certainly isn’t lacking in beautiful bridges across the city. And next year, we’re due to cop another one, which will be perfect for walking and cycling on. Oh, and for taking in the views of course. The 460-metre-long Kangaroo Point Green Bridge will be car-free, featuring an overwater bar and restaurant.
Bombora is the name of the world-class dining venue, pairing an indulgent meal with iconic river vistas.
In addition to the bridge’s restaurant and bar will be riverside café Mulga Bill’s, serving up everything from coffee and pastries to wood-fired pizza, picnic boxes, and more.
Kangaroo Point Green Bridge will be the first Brisbane bridge to have a bar and restaurant built in. This is pretty epic in itself and sounds like it will be a hit among locals and visitors once it’s completed. It’ll run from the corner of Alice Street and Edward Street across to Scott Street at Kangaroo Point.
It isn’t the only bridge that Brisbane City Council has in development either. In fact, there are three bridges on top of this one that are in the works: two in West End and one stretching from Albion to Newstead. This means Brisbane can truly continue to thrive as the city will all the pretty bridges. Are we mad about that? Absolutely not.
