If you’re keen on a camping experience, but you’re not a fan of roughing it, perhaps glamping is more your style. And what better way to escape the city than staying off-grid in a luxury safari tent on a lush property in the Sunshine Coast hinterland, just under two hours from Brisbane? Located in the Obi Valley, Kanimbia Luxury Glamping is a true jewel of the South East. Not to mention being awarded 2021 Finalist for Most Unique Stay in the Australian Airbnb Host Awards.
Designed for two guests, these spacious glamping tents come decked out with all the comforts of a regular hotel room (and more!). Think private bathroom, queen bed, bath with a view of the bush, and wood-burning fireplace just to name a few of the things you can expect. Bath salts are provided too, so you can rest and rejuvenate in the tub whilst your gaze meets the picturesque billabong.
Guests won’t need to leave the 50-acre property to go exploring either. You’re free to roam around your rural oasis, from picnics down at the seasonal creek to sauntering through the “Harry Potter forest” (as the owners like to call it). There are also adorable horses you can pat.
The deck folding out from the tent is perfect for kicking back after a day spent in nature, with a firepit to sit around and a BBQ if you’d like to cook up an outdoor meal. Firewood can be purchased from the property owners for $15 a bag, or you can bring your own.
