Friday, June 6 is no ordinary Friday. It’s National Doughnut Day, and it’s rapidly approaching. To help you get in the spirit of things, Krispy Kreme Australia is giving away 100,000 of their sweet, Original Glazed doughnuts. That’s enough doughnuts to over the length of Story Bridge over 11 times! Pop into your local store and claim your free doughnut this Friday.

The Krispy Kreme team have prepared some tips to help you celebrate the day with ease.
- Spot the Hot Light from 5-8pm – When you see the Hot Light on, that means the doughnuts are rolling down the production line, going through the glaze waterfall and landing in your box fresh and warm. Of course, all Krispy Kreme doughnuts are made fresh daily, but there’s something extra special about trying your treat hot off the production line.
- Avoid peak hour – last year, almost 8,000 people rushed to Krispy Kreme stores around the country to claim their free doughnut between 4pm and 5pm. If you want to avoid the rush, aim for the quiet morning hours between 6am and 11am.
- Plan your travel ahead of time – Avoid long queues and plan out which store you’d like to visit ahead of time.
