Spring has well and truly sprung in Brisbane, and there’s no better proof, nor a better way to celebrate it than The Laidley Spring Festival!
The crown jewel of springtime festivities, this lively event packs so much into just one weekend! Start out with their Friday Twilight Market, which brings the area to life with twinkling lights, epic food trucks and a boutique “makers and creators” market, along with live music to enjoy as you shop.
Or, if you want to get started earlier, on Friday morning, the littlest ones will have their turn to be the centre of attention at the Under 5s event! This much-loved day is a welcoming space filled with hands-on activities, interactive play and engaging entertainment designed especially for young imaginations. Plus a quiet, sensory-friendly space will be available to ensure all families can enjoy the day comfortably.

On Saturday, get into the celebratory spirit with their massive Street Parade! Join thousands of festival goers as decorative floats, heritage trucks, vintage vehicles, dressed up community groups and marching bands wander down the main street, sharing their best interpretation of this year’s festival theme, ‘Country Harvest’!
You can also drop in to Lockyer Valley’s largest annual country market, with stalls selling handmade products and food trucks to refuel, not to mention a stage program with something for everyone, including an appearance by none other than Bluey and Bingo!

Experience live cooking demonstrations, meet passionate local producers, and celebrate the region’s incredible paddock-to-plate story at the much-loved Producer’s Patch, or peruse the Garden Precinct for the perfect plant baby. All through the weekend, different community groups will create unique, spring-inspired expos, such as an Orchid Show and a Quilt & Craft Expo!
Last but not least, Sunday is Bee Happy Day: Hosted in the quaint village of Forest Hill, this is a joyful celebration of bees, blooms and buzzing good fun for the whole family. The town will be alive with colour and creativity, with themed craft stations, face painting and workshops that will keep little ones giggling and making memories.
