If you can’t make it overseas for a Euro summer this year, not to worry: Le Festival will soon be back in town to give you a taste of France without the long-haul flight. And without leaving Brisbane at all.
Taking over Roma Street Parkland across three très chic days, this celebration of all things French has got your weekend rendezvous sorted.
Held for over a decade, Le Festival has become one of the largest French festivals in Australia, having attracted 20,000 attendees in past years. So whether you go every year or you’ve never been and are interested in learning more about French culture, this is one event you won’t want to miss.

What to expect
If the 2026 event is anything like previous years, you can expect to indulge in plenty of pastries, macarons, baguettes, crepes, and mussels from the variety of food vendors onsite.
To wash it down, plenty of French tipples such as wine, champagne, sparkling and beers will be available at Le Bar, as well as non-alcoholic beverages.
Even better, this year’s theme is ‘pique-nique à la française’, so you’ll get to enjoy these goodies in a slow, laid-back fashion, and truly focus on what matters when it comes to French culture: your senses.
As for entertainment, think live music from The Django Collective, Heillani dancers, and a DJ, as well as roving performers such as mimes, stilt workers, and even a juggling unicyclist! Be sure to browse the market stalls at Le Marché while you’re around, as they’ll be selling everything from French-inspired homewares and gifts to fashion and stationary.
And, if you need help using your new fancy ingredients, there will even be masterclasses where you can do everything from learning how to make Beef Wellington and how to pair wine and cheese to painting your very own masterpiece!
