Grammy-winning British band Mumford & Sons is back in a big way, and on the heels of announcing an Australian and New Zealand arena tour in April and May, they have now added a Brisbane date thanks to skyrocketing demand!
Anticipation has been building for their long-awaited sixth studio album Prizefighter. Having reached the top of the charts as early as their first album in 2009, Mumford & Sons quickly became known as a defining act in folk rock thanks to smash hits like Little Lion Man and The Cave. Their second album — which included the globally beloved single I Will Wait — was even bigger, earning them the Grammy for Album of the Year.
Since then, they’ve been consistently experimenting with their sound, veering more towards an electric vibe and challenging expectations along the way. Now, with the Prizefighter Tour, Aussie fans will have the opportunity to hear both their new material and their all-time classics live. The trio will be joined in their shows by Folk Bitch Trio and folk artist Hudson Freeman.
Prizefighter will be released on February 20, and anticipation for it could not be higher, as it comes after 2025’s number one album Rushmere, and features the likes of Hozier, Gracie Abrams, Chris Stapleton and Gigi Perez.
How to get tickets
Tickets for Mumford & Son’s stop at Brisbane Entertainment Centre will go on sale at 1oam AEST on Tuesday, January 27 and will be handled by Ticketek, so we recommend creating an account before the big day if you don’t have one already. You can also use the Ticketek app to access your purchased tickets, so you may want to download it ahead of time as well. There will also be a Mastercard and an artist pre-sale both from Friday, January 23 at 9am (AEST).
The company has warned that using more than one device and/or browser could result in triggering bot protection, which would get you removed from the queue, and the same goes for VPNs, so keep that in mind while you hunt for your tickets.
Tickets will probably fly so don’t forget to set your alarm! Be careful not to refresh your browser and make sure you have your phone and bank details handy so you can make your purchase as quickly and smoothly as possible.
You can get up to six tickets per transaction, and they will range in price from $102.90 to $469.90.
And we have good news! You can rock out for a good cause, as the band has partnered with PLUS1 to support War Child, so one dollar from every ticket sold will go toward protecting and supporting children affected by war.
