Winter is not for everyone, so if you’re looking for a way to escape both the lower temperatures and the more low-energy activities, Noosa Alive! is a festival worth travelling for.
What to expect
The 10-day festival features a program chock-full of world-class arts and culture. Conversations with acclaimed authors such as acclaimed playwright Suzie Miller, beloved actor and author Bryan Brown, food icon Maggie Beer AO, and more, will bring you up-close-and-personal with some of the world’s most extraordinary storytelling talent!
A highlight of the 2026 Festival is the appearance of the internationally acclaimed Grigoryan Brothers, Slava and Leonard Grigoryan, widely regarded as Australia’s finest classical guitar duo. The brothers have captivated audiences around the world and earned multiple ARIA Awards and nominations.
Also not to be missed is performer Ursula Yovich in her powerful and deeply moving tribute Ursula Yovich Sings Nina Simone. Combining soul, jazz, blues and storytelling, Yovich’s homage to the legendary singer promises to be one of the festival’s most unforgettable musical experiences, following sold out performances at the Sydney Opera House.

Or, for a little more razzle dazzle, SONGBIRD and OLIVIA Experience are two sensational cabaret events that celebrate some of music’s most iconic voices. SONGBIRD takes audiences on a journey through the timeless songs of legendary female artists, while OLIVIA celebrates the life, music and enduring legacy of Australia’s sweetheart, Olivia Newton-John.
It wouldn’t be fair for your ears to have all the fun though! A festival favourite, Film with Food combines cinema and cuisine in a uniquely immersive experience. This year, the beloved comedy-drama Big Night will be accompanied by an unforgettable culinary experience of food featured in the film, prepared by 3 renowned local chefs. It’s the ultimate 4-D experience!
Still hungry? The Noosa Hinterland Long Lunch showcases the region’s spectacular scenery, outstanding local produce, premium wines and warm country hospitality. In short, it’s the perfect blend of food, entertainment and hinterland charm.
Plus, if you make a weekend of it, you can have a little escape within your escape and discover everything Noosa Heads, one of the world’s most welcoming places, has to offer!
