After six years of offering a scaled-up fish and chips experience, popular Kangaroo Point eatery One Fish Two Fish will be saying goodbye at the end of April. Known for its quality seafood and themed menus and temporary offers, the bistro quickly became a local favourite since opening its doors in 2019.
The news was announced through the restaurant’s social media, in a post by owners Daniel and Amelia Miletic, which explained the reason behind the closure, as well as their next steps in the culinary world: “After six incredible years, it’s time for us to share some bittersweet news — One Fish Two Fish will be closing its doors at the end of April as our lease has come to an end,” the couple explained.
They went on to thank their customers for their support, especially during the pandemic, and reminisce of all the special moments shared over the years in the Queensland cottage.
While undoubtedly sad news, the Miletics ended their post on a positive note: “Don’t worry, this isn’t goodbye forever! We hope to see you soon at our newest baby – Midtown, where we’ll continue doing what we love most—hosting epic events, pouring delicious drinks & serving brilliant bites.”
And they reassured One Fish Two Fish lovers that there are plenty of exciting events to come in the final months, so they’ll be going out with a bang. From the upcoming Valentine’s Day Love Bug event, to a Crab special in March, and much more, One Fish Two Fish will be leaving its mark.
