After a one-year hiatus last year because of Cyclone Alfred, one of Australia’s boldest and most thrilling events is dropping in for another edition.
Pacific Airshow is a three-day weekend event featuring heart-pumping aerobatic demonstrations by the world’s finest aviators, and with over 270,000 spectators, it is the largest airshow event to ever take place in Australia!
To launch the 2026 line-up announcement, Pacific Airshow went full throttle and took the reveal straight to the skies with a world-first live DJ set at 15,000 feet! The cabin became a full-blown aerial rave and, with the music still blasting, those onboard parachuted down onto Surfers Paradise.
This year’s program introduces brand-new aircraft, international pilots and never-before-seen stunt routines that push the limits of what’s possible above water.

What to expect
Some of this year’s highlights include:
Jeff Boerbon Yak-110, a mad-scientist masterpiece consisting of two Yak-55 fuselages fused into one with a jet engine strapped in the middle; Gravity Industries Jet Suits, which will showcase human flight — a Pacific Airshow first! — right over the sand; and the US Air Force Wings of Blue Parachute Team, who will perform their iconic “Bomb Burst” as they punch through the sky above the beach.
The Queensland Fire Department Air Attack Demo will turn the beach into a live-action emergency response showcase, with big visuals and real capability. Plus the Gold Coast Skydive will dial up the adrenaline with flags, flares and flips landing right in front of the crowd.
For those with a need for speed, Matt Hall, the reigning Red Bull Air Race world champion, will be making an appearance, as will Emma McDonald, lighting up the coastline with her razor-sharp aerobatics and elite racing pedigree.
But it’s not all air stunts and racing: with a first-class beachfront enclosure with a thrilling view of every pass and roll — not to mention open bar, food, exclusive access to pilot meet-and-greets — a luxurious garden bar, and private cabanas, the pilots won’t be the only ones on cloud nine!
It’s only fitting: as Australia’s favourite holiday destination, the Gold Coast is idillyc enough to be considered paradise.
