The Gold Coast is home to a long stretch of white-sand beaches, boasting wave conditions ideal for surfing. Just when you thought the Queensland hotspot couldn’t get enough barreling masses of water, in comes The Endless Surf lagoon, which will be built at Parkwood Village as part of an ambitious new project.
The multi-million-dollar makeover of Parkwood Village includes an upgraded 18-hole golf course, as well as residential, hotel, retail, medical, entertainment and dining facilities, all on the shores of a huge surf lagoon, which uses wave customisation technology make waves for surfers of all skill levels, from beginners to seasoned waveriders.
Now that developmental approval has been granted for the Gold Coast surf park, construction will begin soon, with a proposed completion date of late 2026.
“There is nothing more quintessentially Australian than surfing and, complemented by the upgraded golf course and [Gold Coast] Titans training facilities, we want to make sure Parkwood becomes the heart of sport here on the Gold Coast,” says Managing Director of Parkwood Village, Luke Altschwager. “We know that Gold Coast surfers have big expectations, and we are ready to deliver pure perfection to the Coast.”
