Attention Brissy green thumbs! Queensland’s ultimate garden glow-up event, Plantapalooza, is coming back to Brisbane Markets’ Saturday Fresh Market, for a true spring celebration!
Stock up on an incredible array of indoor and outdoor plants, flowers and succulents, alongside terrariums, beautiful pots for your new plants and outdoor accessories! You’ll get to stroll through lush aisle after lush aisle of greenery, fragrant herbs, vibrant veggie seedlings and more.
Whether you’re a seasoned plant parent of many, or you’re notorious for losing them, you’ll find the best advice from green-thumbed pros on everything from indoors plants, to spilling the dirt on compost, or discovering how to successfully grow fruit trees in your area.
Worked up an appetite browsing through this jungle? Good news, you’re in a market! Treat your tastebuds to a world tour with a mouth-watering line-up of food trucks serving up sizzling international flavours and some of Brisbane’s best breakfasts, from flaky pastries to spicy street eats.
There’s even something for the little sprouts! From 9am to 11am, start your morning off with the thrill of True Blue Reptiles, an entertaining, educating and engaging show with real live reptiles! Full of fast, fun and fascinating facts about our magnificent native reptiles, this is a show not to be missed, no matter your age!
After the show, and throughout the whole day, kids can transform into a fairy, a fearsome animal or even their favourite superhero with Fairy Pairie Face Painting and feel the plant love by decorating their very own pot and planting a seedling, which they get to take home for free. Finally, give yourself a break and let them run and jump out their battery at the jumping castle!

Plantapalooza will take place on Saturday, October 11 from 6am to 1pm.
It is a family-friendly event but, unfortunately, pets are not allowed.
There is a $2 pedestrian entry fee for adults, and under-15s get in for free!
If you want to park directly adjacent to the market site, a Premium Parking and Entry ticket will cost you $6.50, covering parking and entry for all passengers.
