For the first time ever, Queensland will host the Socceroos’ homecoming series against five-time World Cup winner Brazil in Lang Park!
These post-World Cup friendly games have traditionally played in Sydney or Melbourne, so this will be a chance for Queensland to shine. The Brisbane venue will also be hosting the first ANZAC Day match between the Wallabies and All Blacks, as well as the fixtures in 2027, 2029 and 2031.
The Socceroos are currently preparing to face Egypt at their round of 32 match on Saturday, July 4 at 4am AEST in Dallas, while Brazil will be playing agai nst Japan on Tuesday, June 30 at 3am AEST in Houston. You can see every matchup in the World Cup with AEST times here.
The two teams hace faced each other 11 times, with Brazil coming out on top in most encounters, but don’t despair! The Socceroos have drawn twice, and even managed to win in 2001 against one of the most decorated and challenging teams in the world! Could this be the second time?

Practical information
The Socceroos will first face Brazil on Friday, September 25 at Queensland Country Bank Stadium, and again on Tuesday, September 29 at Suncorp Stadium.
Both matches will be aired on Network 10 and Paramount+, but if you’d rather see the action in person, tickets will go on pre-sale from Wednesday, July 1 and on general sale from 1pm on Thursday, July 2.
