If you’re looking for a unique new spot to dine at, look no further than Stratton Bar & Kitchen. Newly opened next to The Triffid in Newstead, this eclectic eatery has bundles of character, starting from the space it occupies.
The brilliant new venue resides inside two historic airplane hangars dating back to World War II. So from the industrial dome-like interiors to the leafy courtyard, Stratton is definitely one to put on your list of places to visit.
On the Pan-Asian food menu, you’ll find plenty of decadent dishes, most of which are designed to share. Choose from smaller plates such as cheeseburger dumplings, Korean pork pull-apart milk buns, chickpea nuggets, salt and pepper squid, and more.
Or, if you’re looking for something a bit bigger, they’re serving up roast duck breast with a citrus sauce, cheese and charcuterie boards, as well as a selection of pizzas, noodles, and desserts. There are also vegetarian, vegan, dairy-free, and gluten-free options available.

Stratton also has a deliciously creative cocktail menu you can sip your way through. Think Smoked Margherita, Cheeseburger Bloody Mary, Cherry Ripe Espresso Martini, Mumma’s Banana Bread, Watermelon Spritz, and more.
