The 4th annual Sunshine Coast Chilli & Chocolate Festival is bringing delicious contrast to Brouhaha Baringa, marrying the very best of pairings: hot chillies and sweet chocolate! Plus, with speedy service and a cool beer garden, you’ll be able to cool down as soon as the heat becomes too much to bear.
What to expect
This scorching hot day will be dedicated to celebrating the zest for life, in the form of tasty treats that challenge and soothe your palate. It will be a truly sensory experience with sampling, shopping, food trucks, eating competitions — including some for kids! — a lively beer garden, wine raffles and more.
Chilli lovers or lovers of chilli lovers can explore all that the market has to offer and meet creators behind artisan chilli sauces and chocolates, with over 300 chilli sauces, jerky, salts, vinegars, jams and gin to sample and shop. It’s the perfect opportunity to stock up for the upcoming winter barbecue season with unique finds from local small businesses!
If you’re feeling brave and you’ve got a fire-resistant tongue, you can enter one of the blazing hot challenges, and risk it all for sweet, sweet victory. And, of course, if your stomach can stand it, don’t miss out on delicious food from trucks and onsite venues catering for all dietary preferences — including vegan, gluten-free, chill lovers and not!
Live music will accompany the event, keeping everyone energised and pumping out some great tunes to burn your tongue off to.

Entry is only $2, in support of Rural Aid, and kids under 3 enter for free. Furry friends are also welcome!
