Not only is going out for a sushi date affordable, but it’s also a treat for the taste buds. Brisbane is brimming with sushi eateries and its newest has just opened.
After opening the world’s first circular sushi train in Melbourne last year, which measures an impressive 30 metres, Sushi Jiro has now expanded to Queensland, opening at Westfield Chermside and Gold Coast’s Pacific Fair.
The new 170-seater serves up high-quality Japanese eats in a casual setting. Think moreish sushi, fresh tasty sashimi, as well as nori sushi tacos, lobster salad and more.
Brisbane’s Sushi Jiro features the longest sushi train in the Southern Hemisphere, spanning 115 metres. Sushi lovers can take a seat at the booths around the train, picking what they want as it moves past.
You can also order from the al a carte menu, where dishes are delivered via a robot waiter.
Sushi Jiro is open from 11am daily, and is perfect for lunch, dinner, or an in-between snack.
