Visionary Aussie indie band Tame Impala is making a highly anticipated home tour following the release of the acclaimed album Deadbeat, late last year. The LP marked a new chapter in Tame Impala’s already impressive history, boldly changing up their sound and spawning three singles, Loser, End of Summer and number three on this year’s triple j’s Hottest 100, Dracula.
The Tame Impala project, conceived by multi-instrumentalist Kevin Parker, is one of the most musically influential of the last decade. The band’s touring configuration consists of Parker (vocals, guitar, synthesiser), Dominic Simper (guitar, synthesiser), Jay Watson (synthesiser, vocals, guitar), Cam Avery (bass guitar, vocals, synthesiser), Julien Barbagallo (drums, vocals), and James Ireland (guitar, synthesiser). We’ve always said you can never have enough synths!
With this six-piece band, Tame Impala kicked off the Deadbeat Tour with 12 sold-out shows across North America last year, and their bringing it home to Oz in October! Joining them on all dates Down Under is one of the most exciting names in Australian music right now: fast-rising electronic artist, songwriter and producer Ninajirachi.
Needless to say, tickets are expected to fly so don’t wait One More Hour and read on for all the different ways and dates in which to grab yours!
How to get tickets
Tickets for Tame Impala’s unmissable show at Brisbane Entertainment Centre will go on artist pre-sale first on Wednesday, February 25 at 9am, alongside the Frontier pre-sale, the Laneway Presents pre-sale and the album pre-sale. All four will last for 48 hours.
The general sale will start on Friday, February 27 at 11am.
The company has warned that using more than one device and/or browser could result in triggering bot protection, which would get you removed from the queue, and the same goes for VPNs, so keep that in mind while you hunt for your tickets.
You can join the waiting room an hour before tickets go on sale (10am), so don’t forget to set your alarm! Be careful not to refresh your browser and make sure you have your phone and bank details handy so you can make your purchase as quickly and smoothly as possible.
You can get up to eight tickets per transaction (4 tickets during the pre-sales), and they will range in price from $119.90 to $349.90 approximately
