We’ve got our fair share of sports bars here in Brisbane, but none like The Ballpark, an upcoming sports and entertainment venue hitting Portside Wharf later this year.
Set to open at the riverside precinct on September 7, The Ballpark will feature everything from baseball cages and pool tables to darts, a coffee shop and screens broadcasting all the major sporting events.
The cages offer an immersive baseball experience, where you can use real bats and balls within a virtual field, complete with tracking, fielders, and the excitement of home runs for an engaging full-game simulation.
When it comes to food and drink, The Ballpark aims to accommodate a range of taste buds, whether it be burgers, bao buns, coffee or cocktails.
The 200-person space will also be available for events, including kids’ birthday parties, bucks and hens nights, corporate days, and more.
Portside Wharf is currently undergoing a $20 million rejuvenation program, which has welcomed 14 new venues to the riverside village in the past year, with more slated to open soon.
The Ballpark is scheduled for completion in September, just in time for the football finals, Spring Racing Carnival, Major League playoffs, and the festive Christmas party season.
