Returning to the Roma Street Parkland for another year, The Enchanted Garden will be on display and open to visitors in the lead-up to Christmas, from 1-23 December. The spectacular sensory experience will envelop the plants, trees and gardens in a kaleidoscope of colours and light for an incredible trip.
Visitors this year will be guided through the parkland via a narrative journey that pits nature against the dark and encroaching forces. In spite of these, the Roma Street Parkland will come to life and you can experience it in a new light as over 8000 square metres shines, sparkles and twinkles in the evening. The gardens will glow and trees will shimmer while ambient soundscapes soundtrack your adventure.
The lighting trail is constructed with cutting-edge visual elements as well as special effects like holograms and 11 unique activations that will transform your visit into an immersive and interactive experience. Sculptures will also be added to this year’s display of light and colour including hundreds of 3D-printed birds on the frontline of the fight against evil.
The self-guided tour takes 30 minutes and is an exceptional addition to any evening out in the city come December. From 4:30pm-9:30pm on Roma Street Parkland’s Celebration Lawn and Lakeside Lawn, nine of Brisbane’s most popular food trucks will be parked up serving everyone—not just The Enchanted Garden ticketholders.
You can find Bill’s Burgers, Char Kor BBQ, Gelato a Go-Go, Juice Power, O’Crumbs Food Truck, Rolling Stone Pizza, Ruby the Little Red Ice Cream Van, Sate House Pty Ltd, Sorella & Co. and Flavours of Eataly (December 4-7 and 12-14 only). The Garden Room will also be doing special multi-course feasts for the duration of The Enchanted Garden.
Tickets are $7 per person (or free for children under 2, who do not require a ticket) with sessions taking place every 15 minutes beginning at 6:30pm. The final session is at 9pm.
