Someone check the passport, pack the toothbrush and make absolutely sure nobody leaves Kevin behind, because more than three decades after Kevin McCallister was accidentally abandoned at Christmas, Culkin is finally making his way to Australia, and he’s bringing Home Alone with him.
The actor will tour Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney this November for Home Alone: A Nostalgic Night with Macaulay Culkin, screening the Christmas classic before joining a live moderated interview to share behind-the-scenes stories and his favourite memories from the film.
After years of being left behind at Christmas, Kevin McCallister is finally making his own plans.
Macaulay Culkin is coming to Brisbane

The tour will land at Brisbane’s Fortitude Music Hall on Tuesday, November 24, giving local fans the chance to watch Home Alone on the big screen before hearing directly from the man who played Kevin McCallister. The actor will then head south to Melbourne’s Regent Theatre on Friday, November 27, before wrapping up the tour at Sydney’s Enmore Theatre on Sunday, November 29.
Culkin will take part in a live moderated interview after each screening, sharing behind-the-scenes stories and some of his favourite memories from making the beloved 1990 film.
Culkin shot to global fame as Kevin McCallister in Home Alone and its 1992 sequel, Home Alone 2: Lost in New York. His performance in the original film also earned him a Golden Globe nomination. It cemented his place as one of Hollywood’s most recognisable child stars.
He later appeared in films including My Girl and Richie Rich, before taking on roles in television series such as American Horror Story, The Righteous Gemstones and Fallout.
But for millions of fans, he’ll always be the kid left behind at Christmas who somehow managed to outsmart two increasingly battered burglars.
A Home Alone reunion with a bittersweet edge

The announcement comes just one day after Culkin appeared at the 2026 Emmy Awards to honour his former Home Alone co-star Catherine O’Hara, who died earlier this year.
O’Hara played Kate McCallister, Kevin’s famously forgetful mum, across the Home Alone films. But Culkin’s Emmy tribute made it clear their relationship went far beyond the characters they played.
“You remember her as the forgetful mother, right?” Culkin said. “There are all kinds of words I could use to describe Catherine. She was encouraging. She was warm. She was funny, but the word that I think of is mum … She was, she was my mum. She was our mum … So she may have forgotten me twice. But we will always remember her.”
Now, just days later, Culkin is returning to the role that defined his childhood. It’s also a role that has shaped generations of Christmas movie marathons.
