Looking for a fun way to beat the heat while keeping the kids entertained? Look no further than Brisbane’s water parks! From major amusement parks to smaller aquatic playgrounds, there are plenty of options to choose from around Brisbane, and some won’t even cost you a cent.
1. Chermside Aquatic Centre
Home to Brisbane’s largest water park, Chermside Aquatic Centre is a choice day out for families, with 200 metres of water slides, attractions and even a splash lagoon.
A visit here will set you back $18.50 per adult, $7.50 for kids between 2 and 5, and $16.30 for kids 6 to 14. There are also family discount passes available.

2. Wynnum Whale Park
Located in Brisbane’s bayside, this awesome free water park is perfect for those summery days out that don’t break the bank.
Wynnum Whale Park AKA Wynnum Aqua Park is home to a seawater pool as well as whale water features and more.
Best of all, it’s next to the beach, so you can have a dip in the ocean too.

3. Aquativity, South Bank
Perhaps the most well-known of the water parks in Brisbane is Aquativity, which can be found right by the family-favourite Streets Beach.
Brisbane kids will be occupied for hours, with pools, tipping buckets, shooting fountains and more. The free-to-use aquatic playground is also close to restaurants, cafes and barbecue facilities, so you and the fam can make a day out of it.

4. Wet ‘N’ Wild, Gold Coast
The Gold Coast’s Wet ‘N’ Wild water park is on the more pricy side and a bit of a drive from Brisbane, but it’s also home to some of Australia’s biggest and most extreme water slides, including the country’s tallest water park slide tower, a giant wave pool and more.
A single-day pass to Wet ‘N’ Wild costs $120 per person for those over 13, and $109 for kids aged 3 to 13. To get the most value, it’s best to buy a multi-park pass for $179, which gives you entry into Wet ‘N’ Wild, Sea World, Movie World and Paradise Country.

5. Flagstone Water Park
If you want to take the kids out of Brisbane for the day but the Gold Coast water parks aren’t in your budget, then we recommend heading to Flagstone Water Park.
Located 45 minutes south of Brisbane near Jimboomba, this free water park features three huge tree-like structures, inside of which you’ll find jets, tipping buckets and waterfalls that’ll keep the kids occupied for hours.

6. Albany Creek Leisure Centre
Tucked away on the northside, this aquatic centre is home to an Olympic-sized lap pool and a kids play area with a waterslide that won’t cost you much to access.
The centre itself is only $6.20 for adults and $5.60 for kids. However, for those wanting to use the water slide will need to pay an extra $7 on top of their entry price.
